Arlington Capital Partners Hires Former Digital River President as Managing Director
Washington, DC, March 26, 2001 -- Arlington Capital Partners, a $450 million private equity fund focused on telecommunications, technology, outsourcing and information services,
announced the addition of Perry Steiner as Managing Director. Mr. Steiner was previously president of the e-commerce firm Digital River, Inc, a NASDAQ listed company.
"In today's turbulent market for funding technology companies," explains Paul Stern, co-founder of Arlington Capital, "There are outstanding opportunities to make private equity
investments. Perry's background both in building and running a public company, and as a private equity investor will be a great addition to the Arlington partnership."
Mr. Steiner brings a valuable combination of management and private equity experience to the firm. Mr. Steiner was formerly president of Digital River, a commerce service provider
managing e-commerce systems for over 8,000 companies worldwide. After leading the company to its IPO, Mr. Steiner grew the company's revenues over 10x during a three-year period, completed five acquisitions, and established the company as a leading e-commerce provider to the software industry. The company was named one of the 100 fastest growing technology companies in 2000 by Bloomberg.
Prior to joining Digital River, Mr. Steiner was a senior member of Wasserstein Perella Ventures, where he directed technology investments for the firm's debut venture capital fund.
