New Vision Group was formed to acquire a strong portfolio of leading network-affiliated, middle market television stations. In four separate transactions, New Vision has acquired the NBC affiliate serving Santa Barbara, California (KSBY), the ABC affiliate serving Amarillo, Texas (KVII), the NBC affiliate serving Fort Wayne, Indiana (WISE), and the CBS affiliate serving Duluth, Minnesota (KDLH).
All stations are ratings leaders in their marketplaces and produce strong local news programming. New Vision continues to actively pursue additional station acquisition opportunities with similar operating profiles.
New Vision Group is led by Chairman and CEO, Jason Elkin and President, John Heinen. Mr. Elkin has been a highly successful media executive having previously served as Chairman and CEO of New Vision Communications and Chairman and CEO of CTN Media Group, with additional experience at Clear Channel, Taft Broadcasting and Act III Broadcasting. His background includes all areas of television station management and ownership. John Heinen has been a media executive with extensive experience in advertising, marketing, research, programming and station management for broadcast groups on both the local and national levels for Gannett Co., Ellis Communications, and RAYCOM Media.
In 2005, New Vision sold its TV stations to Granite Broadcasting, Evening Post Publishing and Barrington Broadcasting.
New Vision is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
