Jeffrey H. Freed

Jeffrey is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the Firm and has shared overall responsibility for all management and investment activities of the Firm since inception. Jeffrey brings over 25 years of private equity and business experience to Arlington, having actively participated in nearly 30 transactions worth over $3 billion in enterprise value.

Prior to co-founding Arlington, he was the President and Chief Investment Officer of Westbury Capital Partners, L.P., a direct investment partnership concentrating on the middle market. During his tenure at Westbury, Jeffrey played an active role on the Boards of ADcom Information Services, Inc., Community Rehab Centers, Inc., DirecTel International, L.L.C., Gray Peak Technologies, Inc., MGC Communications, Inc. and TEC Direct, Inc.

Prior to Westbury, Jeffrey was a Principal at Oak Hill Capital Partners, the management company of Acadia Partners, L.P., a $1.8 billion investment partnership established by Robert M. Bass and certain institutional investors. While at the Bass organization, he was a Director of Unionamerica Insurance Co. Limited, Ivex Packaging Corporation and BFM Aerospace Corporation.

Previously, Jeffrey was a Principal with Adler & Shaykin, a firm with $300 million of equity capital under management. Jeffrey was a Director of several Adler & Shaykin companies including The Chicago Sun-Times Co. and Wherehouse Entertainment, Inc. He began his career in 1985 as one of the original members of Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, the firm's private equity investment group.

Jeffrey graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration with an MBA, and also graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and College of Arts & Sciences dual degree program with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Oriental History.

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Compusearch Software Systems, Novetta Solutions, BrightStar Education Group, and Sports Information Group (Daily Racing Form). He has previously been a member of the Board of Directors of Apogen Technologies, New Vision Group, SECOR, SignalTree Solutions, and Ad Venture Interactive.
